Mineral Wear Talc-Free Mineral Airbrushing Pressed Powder Reviews

This is the most amazing pressed powder. I use the colour 'creamy natural' and it has the slightest amount of colour without making your makeup look cakey.

Bronzer and blush glides over it easily. It feels super lightweight with a matt finish. Since this product lasts forever, I will wait until a priceline sale, which will generally bring the product down to the $20 mark. This brand is also cruelty-free.

I plan on buying it in the shade translucent to see how it compares.

BEST POWDER EVER

I was lucky enough to get this on sale at Priceline a while ago (due to a pricing sticker error) I got 2 for $10! I didn't have very high expectations but as it was so cheap I'd thought I'd try it and I'm so glad I did! This is the best powder that I have ever used, and after trying several different brand ones I will stick with this one. I use it everyday as I have dark acne scars scattered over my face and this really hides them! It gives a light natural look that brightens my complexion and hides any discoloration or imperfections. The powder doesn't seem to give me acne and it keeps my face from looking oily. LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!

A little goes a long way with this stuff!

my comparison of both shades Translucent and Creamy Natural

I have previously reviewed the shade Creamy Natural and it gives medium to high coverage slightly with a slightly luminous glow (but not glittery). It is just like wearing foundation, but better as you can touch it up on the go and build your coverage and it covers every flaw you have easily!

The shade Translucent isn't quite what you think, it is not completely clear or colourless, like translucent shades can be, when used alone it gives the effect of a nice BB cream with light-medium coverage. It is not as luminous as Creamy Natural, it is a very subtle natural finish which I love because I can then add highlighters over the areas I want without looking overly glittery and sweaty (some PF powders are a little too glittery, see my other reviews).

This shade Translucent is ideal for setting BB creams, I have several and it really does the most fantastic job of making them stay put, no shine but still allowing the natural colours to shine though. Buy a velour puff and lightly press then finish off with a powder brush for the best airbrushed but still natural finish.

As for the packaging, it comes in the standard light PF compact with a mirror built in underneath and the little compartment to hold the application brush and the little brush. The brush is pretty useless, it is flat, quite hard and not really suitable for anything but maybe as a contour brush (I give them to my little one and he uses them for painting). You are much better off buying a velour puff and a powder brush to get the best effect.

I always apply then sprtiz a finishing spray over (like Australis Rose makeup setting spritz or Avene's Thermale spritz) - gives an instant soft finish and no signs of chalkiness or dryness at all (but really this powder is good enough to use without a spritz, it is not dry or chalky).

use alone for a BB type coverage and finish; use it to set your BB creams for an even longer-lasting performance; use a setting spritz if you prefer

Didn't work for me.

I hadn't tried mineral make-up for a few years as I always found that it pronounced flaws rather than covered them, which is what most brands, including this one claim to do.

Unfortunately for me this mineral product was another huge fail. Ordinarily I have smooth skin that people often comment in but this powder exacerbated every pore on my face so my skin ended up looking like the surface of the moon! Even if I used a primer the result was the same. I'm sure it would work well for many ladies - the previous reviews prove that, but obviously my skin is just not suited to mineral products.

(shade Creamy Natural) talc free ideal for "creaseless" makeup!

I am 40+ with dry-normal pale skin and my biggest issue I have is makeup creasing in my under eye area. Also having dry skin most powders can look cakey. Anything with talc makes it 10 x worse and I have found that only mineral makeup can help prevent this. I already have several Physicians Formula powders/bronzers/blushers and didn't hesitate to try this one when I saw it on sale. I know Creamy Natural is a great match for me because I have it in their loose mineral foundation and was very happy with that.

This product is pretty versatile, you can use it to set your makeup by gently pressing a velour puff on your problem areas with minimal powder on the puff (unless you are quite oily) and you will get lasting matte finish makeup all day that does not crease! I also use it over foundation applied with a big powder brush and it gives a foundation-like finish which is very soft and natural looking (easily covers my freckles) and lasts all day without creasing or looking cakey.

Snap up as many of the range as you can find because I haven't found any product of theirs that I don't like (however not a fan of the brush that comes with it and also I find the mirror a little unnecessary but that's just me).

quite a thick powder so use it sparingly otherwise it can look cakey

Blurs imperfections!

I have found my new HG powder, and that is quite a claim considering I remained loyal to my last powder for almost 5 years. When applied I find that this powder helps blur our imperfections really leaving that airbrushed effect as it claims. I love the finish of it, because it leaves my skin looking so smooth and flawless without looking cakey. I find it lasts well on my skin, even on my oily T zone. Another fantastic powder from Physician's formula.

Personally I don't use the little brush included, but it is very soft and it's very convenient that you can carry it around in your compact. The packaging itself also includes a little mirror. The only criticism I have of this product is the price. While I would definitely want to repurchase this product, because of the price here in Australia, I would probably wait for a sale or purchase it online from overseas sellers.

Matte, lovely finish

I have tan skin but I bought this anyway (in hope of using as a setting powder). Despite being a bit too light for my skin, it still made it look great. It was matte and left my skin looking very smooth (applied over foundation), it was very lightweight too and felt like nothing. It did reduce pores and lines. I

Interesting option

Was lucky enough to select this product from Beautorium. It is an interesting twist on the standard compact. The brush takes a little getting used too, you need to swipe the powder in the compact and then brush gently over your face. The instructions say buff on powder, but I'm not quite sure what that means. I think I would prefer to have the brush plus a applique pad to smooth over. I chose the translucent as I have fair skin and it gives good coverage. It's meant to be a airbrushed finish, however I think you need to apply quite a bit to achieve that effect.

I really enjoyed trying out this product. It comes in a cute little container so it doesn't take up much space in my shower (always a plus given just how many products I have in there!).
